He was asked a specific question whether Rahul Gandhi will share dais with Lalu Prasad, the RJD supremo, who was disqualified from the last Lok Sabha after his conviction in a fodder scam case.

Rahul Gandhi and Lalu are not on the best of terms ever since the disqualification which was the direct fallout of the Congress vice president torpedoing plans of the then Manmohan Singh government to bring out a controversial ordinance to negate the Supreme Court verdict on convicted lawmakers.

The Congress, which is out of power in Bihar for the past 25 years with the upsurge of the Mandal and Mandir issues, is fighting the polls in alliance with RJD and JD-U, which is projecting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar as the Chief Ministerial candidate.
