Patna: Taking a dig at the Congress and praising the Nitish Kumar led government in Bihar the JD(U) on Wednesday slammed the Congress on losing grip of the politics in Bihar.

While criticizing the Congress’ attempt to downplay the achievements of Nitish Kumar government in Bihar, a JD(U) leader said, “No matter how much the Congress have tried to downplay Nitish Kumar’s achievements during campaigning in Uttar Pradesh, people in the state never stopped mentioning Bihar’s development and appreciating Nitish Kumar’s efforts in all these year. In Bihar the Congress does not hold any prominence and has completely lost the grip in the political array.”

JD (U)’s state spokesperson Shambunath Sinha said, “From past two decades the Congress has lost its political grounds in Bihar and the other parties have met a similar fate. The circumstances are such that parties like Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) have relocated their offices to Delhi. Leaders of such parties arrive in the state to attend meetings and return back to Delhi. But wherever they go they find people heaping praises on the JD (U) led Bihar government.”
