New Delhi: Amid vociferous demand for electoral reforms, the Congress has hastened its move for an internal discussion in this regard.

On Friday, a meeting under the stewardship of Sonia Gandhi was held at the residence of Prime Minister to discuss on electoral reforms, while no final conclusion has been reached.

Notably, Law Minister Salman Khurshid in a meeting held on October 7 had hinted at bringing out reforms in electoral system. The issues which were discussed in this meeting include Right to Call, banning criminals from fighting elections and government funding for women to fight election.

Ghulam Nabi Azad apprised Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, AICC president Sonia Gandhi including Ahmed Patel, Pranab Mukherjee, AK Antony and P Chidambaram of the present scenario of Telangana. He said that Telangana issue is right now under control but a final decision has not been taken in this regard.
