Lucknow: In line with the Bhahujan Samaj Party and the Samajwadi Party, the Congress is also facing heat while preparing the forthcoming Assembly polls. The Congress is not able to reach consensus on the list of candidates who would fight elections and may fail to meet the deadline of June to announce the name of candidates.

As the line of action for the Mission 2012 set by the Congress party is not clear, the party workers are finding it difficult to act upon the plan. Sometimes, the lack of coordination between the party and the leaders is proving a hindrance.

The search for a winning face for the Assembly polls is on for the past one year. After visiting the constituencies, the party observers submitted their reports about bona fide candidates.

A meeting was organized in the first week of June in the presence of AICC General Secretary Rahul Gandhi, but nothing tangible came up.
