Ranchi: Probing the disproportionate assets case of former Jharkhand Minister Kamlesh Singh, CBI has found some crucial documents indicating that Rs. 1.25 crore was deposited in the account of Mumbai Congress chief Kripashankar Singh’s daughter-in-law Ankita.

Ankita is younger daughter of Kamlesh Singh, former Jharkhand minister who is languishing in jail in connection with the disproportionate assets case.

Ankita was married to Kripashankar Singh’s son Narendra Mohan in 2008. The high profile marriage was in news for its grandeur and opulence.
Sources in the CBI say the investigating agency is probing the case with an angle whether it was paid a dowry.
After her marriage, Rs. 1 crore 24 lakhs was deposited in couple’s joint account with Santa Cruz branch of Samata Sahakari Bank in Mumbai.

CBI has found proofs of money deposition in seven installments.

CBI has evidence that Rs 50 lakh from this account was transferred to HDFC account of Surya Sonal, son of Kamlesh Singh, in Delhi.
The CBI is preparing to question Ankita, Narendra Mohan and Sonal.
