Ahmedabad: Claiming to bounce back to power in Gujarat, the Congress is leaving no opportunity to nail Chief Minister Narendra Modi to overthrow the BJP government in the state. With Congress’ Sardar Sandesh Yatra to highlight the faults of the state government, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has also jumped into the ongoing political war in its neighbourhood.

Even though Gehlot restrained himself from targetting Modi during the Pravasi Bharatiya meet when the later referred Rajasthan as blessed by the Centre, Gehlot responded through an advertisement on Tuesday.

Criticizing the policies of the Centre during Pravasi Bharatiya Diwas on Monday, Modi had said that Gujarat is not blessed by the union government unlike Rajasthan. He said, “I sent several proposals to the Centre but none was considered by the government.”

He added, “I had also suggested installing solar panels along the Gujarat and Rajasthan border of Pakistan to fulfill energy needs besides assisting border security measures but it was not considered.”
Modi said, on the other hand the state has independently established Asia's largest solar power plant at Patan in north Gujarat.
In a response to the claims made by Narendra Modi, the Gehlot government published an advertisement in regional newspapers stating that Rajasthan is poised to develop as a solar hub with a slogan of solar revolution.

The advertisement is being looked as Gehlot’s answer to Modi. The Congress leaders have been hell bent to target the Modi government accusing it of corruption worth Rs 1 lakh crore, Rs 1,37,000 debts and wastage of money in various state run programmes.
Ten months ahead of assembly elections in Gujarat, An advertisement is also being broadcasted by the Congress on regional channels accusing the government of wasting public money in several programmes like Vibrant Gujarat, Rann Utsav, Sharadotsav and Navaratri Mahotsav. The congress through the advertisement is trying hard to target the government and find a foot hold in the state.
