"All the policies of Congress are aimed at benefiting the affluent class, whether directly or indirectly, at the cost of common man. Congress has made it difficult for the common man to survive," Badal said, addressing a gathering during 'Sangat Darshan' at Talwandi Sabo in Punjab.

He held the party responsible for unemployment, corruption, illiteracy or poverty in the country, and alleged that the UPA government was stalling projects for Punjab and exhorted the people to bring BJP-led NDA to power in the Lok Sabha polls.

Bathinda SAD MP Harsimrat Kaur, who accompanied the Chief Minister, also slammed the Congress in her speech.
