Bhopal: Opposition Congress on Wednesday alleged that the BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh was not concerned about the rising cases of rape in the state.

The party will organise `dharnas' and demonstrations on February 8 in all district headquarters to protest rising cases of crime against women in MP, State Congress Media Department Chairman Manak Agarwal told reporters in Bhopal.

It appears that the BJP Government in Madhya Pradesh was not worried about these incidents, he said and questioned delayed police action against the culprits in such cases.

The situation has deteriorated to such an extent that an eight-year-old girl was killed and her body dumped near the residence of Home Minister Uma Shankar Gupta here, Agarwal said.

He said the Congress has called for a half a day bandh in the state capital on Friday to protest against the killing of the girl.
