New Delhi: Taking the bull by its horns, the Congress party has decided that it is time for a bare knuckles fight with the saffron brigade. Facing the wrath from all sides on issues like corruption and black money, the Congress is all set to hit roads to prove their logic on the recent allegations made by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).

Terming the prevailing hunger strike and agitation as an undemocratic and RSS driven agenda, the Congress has decided to hold public rallies in different parts of the country and address media persons in various states in June. Through which, the Congress aims to put forth the stand of the Centre before the people and also answer all the questions raised by the Civil Society.

Congress General Secretary and the Chairman of the media section, Janardhan Dwivedi on Friday announced to launch a Public Awareness Campaign.

Launching a scathing attack on RSS and Civil society, Dwivedi on Friday released a 15-page booklet “The Congress View on Present Situation,” the first of a periodic series, which is to be distributed all over the country in the coming weeks.

The book not only contextualises the anti-corruption campaigns of Anna Hazare and Ramdev (without naming them), lists the government's actions and future plans in dealing with black money and corruption, its many successes in launching pro-poor programmes, and the steady growth in the economy — it also launches a no-holds barred attack on the Sangh parivar.

Terming the RSS as a rightist terror outfit, he said, “The organisation is under pressure of some serious allegations in the Malegaon serial blast, Mecca Masjid blast and Samjhauta Blast, therefore it want to topple the UPA government in an undemocratic manner.”
