New Delhi: Expecting a miraculous victory in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections, the Congress has decided to stick to its lucky theme song ‘Jai Ho’, its lucky mantra in the previous Lok Sabha polls.  The song created with the focus on Rahul Gandhi, highlights the achievements of the party since former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s rule with a promise to change the destiny of the state.

The theme song will be launched next week in adherence with the onset of Rahul Gandhi’s election tour in five districts of the state and Priyanka Gandhi’s tour in Rae Bareli and Amethi.

The seven minute long song created to infuse energy among the Congress cadre has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh. The lyrics of the song have been inspired by Rahul Gandhi’s firebrand speeches.

The lyrics of the song are:

"Badlo Uttar Pradesh. Jai Ho. Jai Ho.
Aa ja aa ja, UP ke vikas abhiyan ke liye aaja.
Aa ja aa ja Rahul ji ke paigam ke liye aaja."

(Change Uttar Pradesh, come together for the development drive and unite for Rahul Gandhi’s call) Along with Rahul, Sonia Gandhi has also been praised for her sacrifice and service for the country.

And the song goes….

"Aa ja aa ja pyare haath ke nishan ke liye
Sonia ji ki seva aur tyaag ke liye
Aa ja aa ja"

Every paragraph of the song calls for a whirlwind change and emphasises on the achievements of the Congress government besides throwing light on the current plight of the state. It mentions the deteriorating condition of the state during the tenure of the non-Congress governments and promises to develop it as the best state within 5 years.
