Lucknow: Ahead of Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, the Congress has resolved to prepare chargesheet against the BSP government in the state along with massive publicity campaign after Diwali.  With a motive to launch a scathing attack on the BSP, the Congress is likely to present the chargesheet during the Lucknow Maha Rally which is scheduled for February 2012.

Addressing a press conference in Lucknow, Congress General Secretary Digvijay Singh condemned Mayawati for spending government funds on the construction of statues and parks. He said corruption in the BSP rule will be highlighted in the chargesheet which will be submitted to the Governor during Lucknow Maha rally.

When asked about the strain within the party due to distribution of tickets, Singh said, “There is no discontent in the party on tickets distribution. Some states have reported minor disturbances which will be soon solved.”

Rejecting the changes made in the Right to Information Act, Singh said that government has started its work on the recommendations of Sachar Committee.

Commenting on Anna Hazare’s ‘Maun Vrat’, the Congress stalwart said that Anna is trying to evade from Yeddyurrapa and Kashmir issue. “Hazare should wait as the Parliament has approved the demands made by him regarding Lokpal,” he added.
