Sources said that the Congress manifesto is likely to promise reservation in private sector and right to health for all sections of society.  

Taking a note of lack of avenues in government jobs and an ever-growing private sector, the party is likely to provide reservation in private sector for people hailing from Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

The Congress in its manifesto may include a blueprint on a proper timeframe to bring back the blackmoney stashed abroad. Besides, the government’s ambitious plan to come up with a new legislation to combat corruption via e-governance, for which every village and town needs to have proper internet connectivity, might also feature in the manifesto.

It’s being said that Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi will have a major say in the party manifesto.
An agenda to create special opportunities for children, women, Scheduled Castes and Minorities will also be kept in mind while presenting the manifesto before the voters.

In a bid to restore the confidence of middle class, whose support to the government is sliding, the Congress is specially focusing on those 70 crore odd people, who are above the Below Poverty Line and below the middle class in the nation. The party is likely to promise Right to Health to this large chunk of populations.

In order to woo the youth, the party is expected to promise of generating 10 crore new jobs in the next five years.

Besides, taking the ‘Nirbhaya’ incident into account, the Congress is also expected to make a promise of giving 20 percent reservation for women in the police and judicial services apart from setting up six all-women police stations in each district in the country.
