Lucknow: The Congress workers are echoing dissenting voices after the declaration of third list of candidates for Uttar Pradesh assembly elections.

In a meeting of party functionaries chaired by state in-charge Digvijay Singh and Union Minister Beni Prasad Verma, the party candidates expressed their dissatisfaction.

Even state party President Rita Bahuguna Joshi failed to ease the situation. After 10 minutes of ruckus created by the party workers, Digvijay Singh warned them to leave the meeting which eased the situation for a while. The party members once again raised their voices over the speech delivered by Beni Prasad Verma.

Taking serious note of the situation in poll bound UP, Rahul Gandhi, who has launched a campaign of public contact from Barabanki to Kushinagar, had to take halt in Lucknow.

Joining the meeting at Nehru Hall, Rahul advised the party workers to make strategy to corner the Opposition parties in the state. He said the Congress will definitely come into power. All Opposition parties have a tendency to protest against the ruling dispensation.
