Mumbai: Aditya Thackeray, grandson of Shiv Sena Chief and flamboyant leader Bal Thackeray, has inherited all the qualities of the Thackeray clan.
Coming down heavily on the Congress party, 22-year-old Aditya Thackeray, in his maiden political speech in public said that today Congress has heard people’s voice but it has not yet heard the sound which has been generated by slapping a person.
Shiv Sena is trying to portrait Aditya’s image as a fire brand leader considering the growing popularity of Maharshtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray. As Uddhav Thackeray, father of Aditya, is considered to be a polite leader, Bal Tackeray wants his grandson to inherit Sena’s customs.

Aditya, President of Shiv Sena’s youth wing- Yuva Sena, recently had held a protest rally from Shivaji Park to Siddhivinayak Mandir, followed by several bicycles and bullock carts. It was organised against the recent restriction on LPG cylinders and hike in diesel prices. Approximately 10 thousand supporters turned out in this rally.

Aditya said that they (Shiv Sena/Yuva Sena) would make it sure that People’s voice reaches to the leaders of Congress.
He was accompanied by Ex-Chief Minister of the state, Manohar Joshi, MP Sanjay Raut and other senior Shiv Sena leaders.
A worker of Yuva Sena said, “We are all surprised by Aditya’s speech. We have been waiting for two years to listen to Aditya Saheb. It was important that he took charge of the rally and delivered the speech in the absence of Uddhav Saheb. There has been some unrest in the party due to the bad health of Uddhav Saheb and Bala Saheb but Aditya’s speech has again reenergized the party workers.”

Uddhav, however, reached the venue later. A Shiv Sena member said, “In Sena, It’s all about delivering public speeches. Bala Saheb has founded this party with his quality of speech he delivers.
Another party worker said that the rally was aimed at developing Aditya’s personality as a leader for the general elections which is due in 2014.
