Bettiah: Police on Wednesday seized contraband charas weighing 160 kg from a field at Mainatand village in Bihar's West Champaran district, police sources said.

Acting on a tip-off, police went to the field and seized packets of the hashish form of cannabis kept in nine sacks, sources said.

The value of the seized contraband was estimated to be around Rs 16 crore in the international market.

No arrest has been made so far in this connection.
