New Delhi: Following the instructions from the Centre, the rate of cooking Mid-Day-Meal has been hiked in the state. Altogether 7.5 percent increase has been made in cooking rates. Director ISCON Food Foundation has been informed in this regard.

The Centre has also given instructions to the Directorate, Primary Education, and Haryana to follow Central guidelines. All the primary Education Board officials have been asked to follow the instructions given by the Centre in this regard.

As per government directives, each student of primary classes will be given Rs 3.11 for cooking Mid-Day-Meal and those reading in upper Primary classes will be given Rs 4.65 each.

A copy of the letter has been also sent to ISCON Food Foundation. Interestingly contract of running Mid-Day-Meal has been given to ISCON in Gurgaon and Faridabad districts. As of now the students studying in Primary classes are offered Rs 2.89 while Rs 4.33 is being given to those studying in middle classes.
