"The police personnel were moving across the area in a vehicle when Maoists triggered the landmines in quick succession,” Magadh Range Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Pradeep Shrivastava said.

"Luckily, the blasts happened a few metres ahead of the vehicle late last night without causing any harm to the security men," Shrivastava added.

Additional forces have been sent in the area, he said.
