New Delhi: Hardly a week left for his wedding to long time girlfriend Kareena kapoor and Saif Ali Khan has landed in a legal soup! According to media reports a charge sheet has been filed against Saif by the Colaba police for allegedly assaulting NRI businessman Iqbal Sharma at the Taj Mahal Hotel earlier this year.

Following the charge-sheet the actor will now have to appear in court whenever hearings take place.
Saif was arrested by the Colaba police for allegedly bashing up Iqbal Sharma at Wasabi, a restaurant in the South Mumbai hotel, on February 22. He was released on bail after providing a surety of Rs15,000.

Police cited the non-availability of the celebrities involved in the brawl as the reason behind the delay in filing the charge sheet. Saif was accompanied by girlfriend Kareena Kapoor, her sister Karisma Kapoor, Malaika Arora-Khan, Amrita Arora, Bilal Amrohi and Shakeel Ladak when the incident took place.

Earlier it was reported that Sharma, an NRI, was having dinner with his wife at Wasabi when he told Saif and his group not to make too much noise. The request was not taken too kindly by the actor and his friends. Owing to this a scuffle between Saif and Sharma occurred and Saif allegedly punched the nose of Iqbal. He suffered a nasal bone fracture.

After the brawal Iqbal Sharma lodged a complaint in Colaba police station. Amrohi and Ladak were also arrested by the Colaba police after Sharma filed complaint. They were later released on bail.
