London: The world’s costliest home situated in London is ready to be sold.  The four storey building is located at the posh area of London. It is expected to be costing around Rs 866 crore.  

The house is located at the regent park area and it comes under One Cornwall Terrace which is a Grade 1 listed mansion. The sprawling 21,500 square feet house has seven bedrooms.

According to a media report, there are nine bathrooms and eleven reception rooms in the house. Its marketing responsibilities have been given to Savills which has renovated the building. The price has been estimated on basis of Rs 4 Lakh per square feet. It is the costliest home in England so far. The buyer will have to pay Rs 60 crore for stamp duty.

Cornwall terrace was designed by famous architect Decimus Burton in 1820. It is mostly influenced by Greek civilization. Till 1955-70, it was the official residence of the High Commissioner from New Zealand to UK. The lights in the house can be operated through an iPad and the main entrance door opens only after recognising the vehicle number. The house was named after King George IV who was also known as the Duke of Cornwall.
