New Delhi: Additional Session Judge Santosh Snehi of the Tis Hazari court has issued a production warrant against Sabarmati Jail Superintendent to produce 11 accused of Delhi bomb blast case lodged in the Sabarmati jail in Gujarat.

Snehi has not only issued a production warrant against Sabarmati Jail Superintendent but has also asked an explanation from Tihar Jail Superintendent as to why the terrorist who were arrested by the Special Cell of the Delhi Police were shifted to Sabarmati jail. The court has given them time to reply till March 24.

Earlier, the court has twice issued a production warrant to Sabarmati Jail Superintendent and had asked the 11 accused who were in Sabarmati Jail and two accused locked up in the Tihar Jail to appear before the court on the March 8, but they failed to abide by the court directions.

The court acquitted Salman who was accused in the September 13, 2008 Delhi blast case and rest were issued prima facie notice. Two of the accused Mohammed Hakim and Mohammed Shahjad are locked up in Tihar.
