Bhopal: Union Minister for Surface Transport C P Joshi on Tuesday rubbished BJP's allegation that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh was involved in coal block scam.

"There is no truth in the allegations," he said.

Addressing a press conference at the Madhya Pradesh Congress office, Joshi said the BJP was naming the Prime Minister in the issue for no reason.

"BJP is thinking that attacking the Prime Minister this way would help it win the 2014 Lok Sabha polls...But I am confident that the UPA would win the 2014 polls as well, just like the 2004 and 2009 elections," he said.

The minister said that he had come to the state capital to clarify party's stand on the coal block allocation issue.

According to him, union ministers would be visiting various state capitals to let media and public know about the "truth" in the coal scam.
