While JD(S) has also decided to support the Left parties' candidates in all 18 constituencies they are contesting in Tamil Nadu, it has fielded two of its candidates from Krishnagiri and Tiruvannamalai seats.
"While we welcome the JD(S)'s decision to support our candidates, we have decided to support JD(S) candidates in Krishnagiri and Tiruvannamalai," CPI state secretary Tha Pandian and CPI (M) state secretary G Ramakrishnan said in a joint statement.
