Daltonganj (Jharkhand): The CPI (M-L) general secretary Dipankar Bhattacharya on Tuesday accused the Maoists of never been a part of the people’s movement. Bhattacharya said the Left Front was routed in the recently held the elections in West Bengal due to its wrong policies which helped Mamata Banerjee secure a historic victory in the Assembly polls.

“Even Moists extended their support to Mamata in the elections,” he said adding: “There should be unity among Left in the state. They should play crucial role in mass movements which will protect public interests.”

Bhattacharya announced that the CPI (ML) has constituted All India Left Coordination, which has support from Left activists from Punjab, Kerala and Maharashtra.
