New Delhi: With Team Anna announcing that it would put up candidates in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, the CPI(M) on Friday said Anna Hazare's team would have to make it clear whether they favoured or opposed the 'neo-liberal' policies of the government.

"Any citizen has a right to political views and form a party. But all this hinges on whether they are for or against the economic reforms process and the neo-liberal policies which have brought harm to the livelihood of the people," senior CPI(M) leader Brinda Karat said.

"You can be honest. But you have to take a stand on the fundamental issues like food security, price rise and unemployment, afflicting the people," she said.

Team Anna on Friday announced launching of a "movement" and putting up candidates in the 2014 Lok Sabha polls.
