Himachal: While campaigning for party candidate Rakesh Singha in the local Aloo Maidan , CPI(M)general secretary Brinda Karat said that BJP and Congress were the two sides of same coin.

She further said that the entire country was in danger due to neo-liberal policy of the two parties.

Brinda termed both Congress and BJP corrupt and said that Congress government at the centre facing various corruption charges was hell-bent upon selling the country into the hands of corporate houses.

While attacking BJP president Nitin Gadkari over corruption charges she said that the party has lost its right to seek votes from the people whose president has been restricted from campaigning in Himachal polls.

She also accused the centre of not offering grant to the hilly states. Karat also took upon the earlier BJP government of Prem Kumar Dhumal for not announcing plans for the welfare of farmers as well as of gardeners.

She further said that cooking gas storage, fire brigade centre apart from ITI have been established at Theog due to the efforts of local people and not due to the efforts of earlier Dhumal government .
