"I am happy with the response to the film. If you get critical acclaim, it does not translate into box office success," Sonam says.

Though Bewakoofiyaa has not done a very good business at the box-office, the actress who stars opposite Ayushmann Khurrana for the first time in the film is happy with her performance in the film.

"There is not much you can do if it does average (business)...but I am happy with my work," she added.
The romantic comedy, which released on March 14, has reportedly managed to earn a little above Rs nine crore.

The film hogged limelight because of Sonam’s bikini scene rather than the story content. Directed by debutante Nupur Asthana, "Bewakoofiyaan" also features Rishi Kapoor in pivotal role.
