New Delhi: Coming as a good news for those wishing to take up a teaching job in government schools, the Central Board of Secondary Education Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for appointing teachers for classes I to VIII.

The test will be conducted on November 18 2012.

The candidates can apply on or for filling the application form.

The submission of applications began from August 1 while the last date for receiving the applications will be August 31, 2012.

Apart from this, the last date for receiving acknowledgement card is September 9, 2012.

However, a grace time will be given to those coming from remote areas viz. Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island and Lakshadweep.

Remarkably ,the CTET score is taken into consideration for the appointment of teachers in Kendriya Vidyalayas, government aided schools, unaided private schools and in  state government-run schools where the state TET is not held.
