New Delhi:  The New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) has served a notice to the Organizing Committee of Commonwealth Games to vacate its building till March 31, 2011.

The building in the NDMC precinct named as New Delhi City Center-II, equipped with sophisticated facilities was used by the OC officials two months before for trial.

The NDMC is yet to get any official date from the committee to vacate its building. Therefore, it’s Estate Department has made a written complaint to the OC.

Estate Department Director R S Godbole said, “the committee had intimated us about its phase wise vacation plan, but it is yet to follow that.”

“The committee had informed that the first five stories of the nine storied building would be vacated first but it was hanged in the wake of probe into the CWG scam,” he added.

Godbole said, “We need to vacate the office, as Home Ministry offices are going to be shifted here. The NDMC has already made assignments with the ministry in this regard.”
