New Delhi: The decision of the Delhi government to illuminate the streets of the national capital ahead of the Commonwealth Games with imported lights could well come to be a setback for Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit as the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has begun a probe into procurement of the fancy lights.

The CAG (Comptroller and Auditor General) has raised questions over the role of the Chief Minister in its report.
CBI has sought access to the related files from the Public Works Department (PWD).

It is clearly emphasized in the CAG reports that the Delhi government was biased towards giving contracts in the case of street lights.

CBI will investigate the matter and will book the concerned people within the Delhi government if it ascertains any irregularity during the investigation.
