The superstar took to Twitter to post the pictures of the his cleanliness drive. "I once again thank Narendra Modi for taking up the Swachh Bharat (Clean India) initiative and nominating me. I started with Karjat yesterday. Yeh Dekho photos," he tweeted.

Salman who was also acompanied by 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo' actor Neil Nitin Mukesh further nominated people from industry and corporate world for the campaign.

"I nominate the following for Swachh Bharat campaign and request them to further nominate 9 more people.First, I nominate my fans on Facebook and followers on Twitter. Each one of us can make a difference. And I nominate Aamir Khan, Azim Premji, Chanda Kochhar, Omar Abdullah, Pradeep Dhoot, Rajat Sharma, Rajinikanth & Vineet Jain," he wrote.

The actor who is known for his generosity also runs an NGO Being Human and is quite keen in taking up things for social cause.

Meanwhile Prime Minister Narendra Modi also appreciated the actor's initiative and tweeted, "The effort by @BeingSalmanKhan is a significant one that will inspire several people to join Swachh Bharat Mission. #MyCleanIndia".

Narendra Modi has also nominated actors Priyanka Chopra and Kamal Haasan, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar and industrialist Anil Ambani for his 'Swachh Bharat Mission'.
