A number of media houses from across the world were conferred with the awards during the 84th annual INMA World Congress ceremony, for their initiatives in bringing new dimensions in sales and marketing.
The awards were received by Dainik Jagran Director Bharat Gupta and Jagran New Media Chief Executive Officer Sukriti Gupta. Besides Dainik Jagran, the other newspapers which received two first prizes are Aftenposten, MX, The New York Times, South China Morning Post and Verdens Gang (VG).
Dainik Jagran got first prize in ‘Best Idea Category’ for its initiative to boost newspapers’ sales during special coverage of Mahakumbh in Allahabad. Besides, the publication also got the first prize for its campaign 'Jagran Young Editor'.
In the Retail Guru Campaign for increasing advertisements, Dainik Jagran bagged second position. The publication also won Bronze awards for Sanskarshala and Jagran Young Editor. Apart from that, the WAN-INFRA also conferred Silver awards on the Sanskarshala for newspaper marketing.
Around 560 entries were filed by 149 top newspapers from 37 countries for the INMA Awards. The awards, which commenced in the year 1935, are considered as the most prestigious in terms of recognizing the efforts to increase the readership, marketing and sales along with branding.
