Jammu: Protesting against the lathi-charge on students, the Panthers Party, Jammu State Morcha and the BJP staged a walkout in the Assembly on Wednesday. Swirling Dainik Jagran in the House which contained the news of lathi-charge in a university campus, the opposition raised slogans against the government in the assembly.

Panthers Party MLA Balwant Singh Mankotia raised the issue of lathi-charge on students by the police in Jammu University on Tuesday swirling the newspaper which displayed the news.
 
Condemning the police action, he said, “How long will the government rule the state in such a manner?” Jammu State Morcha MLA Ashwani Kumar Sharma said, “The government has nothing to offer to the people. The unemployed agricultural graduates, students are being lathi-charged and the Home Guard is forced to stage a dharna for their demands.”

Even as the Speaker tried to calm everyone, the legislators from Panthers Party and Jammu State Morcha walked out of the House raising slogans against the government.
