Lucknow: Identified as pioneer in Urdu journalism, Dainik Jagran took another leap forward and launched Lucknow edition of 'Inquilab' on Friday. The 72-year-old newspaper which is known for its frank and responsible journalism is published from Mumbai.
Along with Lucknow, the newspaper will also be available in Barabanki, Bahraich, Shravasti, Faizabad, Ambedkar Nagar, Gonda, Balrampur, Sitapur, Sultanpur, Lakhimpur, Rae Bareli and Hardoi.
On the eve of publication of the Lucknow edition, a party was organised in Lucknow on Thursday which was also attended by Qazi Maulana Irfan Mian Farangi Mehli and Imam Shah Fajrul Rehman Wayjee of Tila Masjid and prayed for success of the edition.
Maulana Irfan Mian said, “Lucknow was missing an Urdu newspaper like Inquilab.”
“Urdu journalism has lots of responsibilities and its one of the major task is to convey truth of the entire section of the society,” said Fajrul Rehman.
On the occasion, Mumbai Editor Shahid Latif and Editor of north India Shakeel Shamsi expressed gratitude and assured that Inquilab will meet the expectation of the masses.
