New Delhi: The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) will come up with a new rehabilitation policy to remove hurdles arising out of the implementation of various development projects in the national capital. The DDA is consulting Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) in this regard.

According to the sources, many projects of the DDA are lagging behind the deadlines as various illegal constructions are being built on the proposed sites. Out of which, three urban extension roads got delayed due to illegal constructions.

Several roads have to be built in the suburban areas in Delhi. When DDA started reviewing the master plan last year, it received hundreds of applications seeking rehabilitations for them.
