Hyderabad: Languishing at the bottom of the points table, Kumar Sangakkara-led Deccan Chargers need to pull up their socks if the team wants to qualify for play-offs, said coach Darren Lehmann.

"We have to push the performance to win matches and execute plans. We need to win every match hereafter," Lehmann told reporters on the eve of his team`s match against Pune Warriors.

Noting that the Chargers have let matches slip through its fingers, Lehmann hoped to hold on to the catches to prevent a repeat of what happened in their previous matches.

Fielding lapses, especially the catches of Virender Sehwag dropped by Ankit Sharma and Dwarka Ravi Teja had cost them dearly in the last game against Delhi Daredevils.

"I don`t think it is anything to do with luck. We had two opportunities to get Viru. Had we held those catches, we would have won. It is getting to a point that is costing us games," said the coach.

Deccan Chargers captain Kumar Sangakkara had also said earlier that the two lives that Sehwag got because of the dropped catches had led to their loss in the previous game.

Both Deccan Chargers and Pune Warriors have played 10 matches each so far and won just three each, thus having only six points.
