Mumbai: Several Bollywood actors like Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham have always been associated with macho motorcycles. Of late, even actresses have joined the league by endorsing chic scooters.
Kareena Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra and Anuksha Sharma are already seen doing the smooth rounds on our tube. And now Deepika Padukone has become the latest entrant on the bandwagon. By the ongoing trend, the tussle to be Number One in the industry has shifted to the roads for real!

Apparently, impressed by her brazen and bold portrayal of Veronica in Cocktail, she has been offered to become the ambassador of a major automobile brand. Though she has endorsed many products mostly cosmetic and electronic brands this is going to be the first time she’ll be associated with a two-wheeler. Our sources say that Deepika has signed the deal for a hefty amount but the exact figure hasn’t been disclosed yet.

One notch higher?

While adman Prahlad Kakkar feels that Kareena Kapoor is still Numero Uno when it comes to brand endorsements, he feels that Deepika too is catching up fast. He states, “After Kareena and Priyanka, this move by Deepika doesn’t surprise me. She’s young, has the looks and body despite being a thorough tomboy! Besides, we shouldn’t forget that she’s athletic given her background in badminton.”
