Lucknow: In a bid to outweigh all odds and register a thumping win in the upcoming Assembly polls in the state, the political parties have started nudging each other to bring the political balance in their favour.

According to sources, five politicians including BSP MLA Sherbahadur Singh from Jalalpur have already left their respective parties to join Samajwadi Party (SP). The other four persons to join the SP are former BJP MLA Rajiv Trehan alias Rajiv Channa from Moradabad, former block chief Vijayveer Singh Yadav, chief of Najibabad block in Bijnor Abraar Alam Ansari and a former member of district panchayat Raju Shukla.

While the Samajwadi Party was busy celebrating the defection of one member from the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), it could not stop Shyam Sunder Singh, who has represented SP in Jhansi twice as MLC, from joining the BJP.

Among others joining the BJP bandwagon are former BSP MLA from Govardhan in Matura, Ajay Kumar Poiya and former RLD MLA Narendra Sisodia.

However, Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) is also facing a similar situation but it is somehow managing the show by alluring members from other party into its fold.
