Gwalior: After a brief hiatus, the Defence Ministry has granted the permission to land country’s first interstate air taxi at the Gwalior airport. If things go well, the air service will resume from Bhopal to Gwalior within two-three days.

Ventura Airconnect Company had started air taxi service from Bhopal to Gwalior with the help of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Corporation in September.

This service has stopped just after three days because it did not fulfill the criteria for regular flights at Gwalior airport.

In fact, the runway of Gwalior airport is under jurisdiction of Indian Air Force which had refused to allow the air taxi to land at the airport. Therefore, there was no other option than to halt the air service.

Ventura Airconnect Company Regional Manager, Dalwir Singh said, “First Gwalior-Bhopal air service will be resumed and after that Gwalior-Indore service will be made available to the people.”
