New Delhi: With the Delhi Airport Metro Express (DAME) resuming operations last month, the operating company ‘Reliance Infrastructure’ has introduced more trains on this stretch for the passengers.

The number of trains running on the line has been increased from four to six. Now, the trains will run at the speed of 60 km/per hour.

The extra trains on the airport line have given a big relief to the passengers. The trains are running at 15-minute intervals.

The Delhi Airport Metro line started its commercial operation on 23 February 2011. It is a joint venture between Delhi Metro and Reliance Infrastructure. Operations on the Airport Metro Line were suspended on July 8 last year after some technical faults were detected in the civil structure of the line. The Airport Metro, with six stations, ferries over 20,000 passengers daily.
