For the first time in the history of Delhi, two elections will be held within a span of 14 months. In Delhi Congress has formed government thrice while there was only a single instance when BJP was in helm of affairs in national capital.
In the last assembly elections, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) with the help of the Congress has formed the government in Delhi but just after 49 days, the Arvind Kejriwal-led government had resigned.
For the first time President Rule was imposed in Delhi in last 20-22 years.
If political experts are to believed, this time the assembly elections will be contest in a totally different circumstances. In last elections, both the BJP and the Congress were failed to gauge the strength of newly launched AAP, which relegated the Congress to the margins besides stopping the saffron party on the verge of victory. This time all the three parties are well versed with their stengths.
Issues such as corruption, black money and inflation have lost their prominence. A strong government under the leadership of Narendra Modi has been formed at the Centre and now the BJP will try to win the majority wit the help of Modi wave.
Congress will also try its level best to regain the lost ground while for AAP, this election will prove a real test of their strength.
