New Delhi: A Delhi schoolboy on Thursday stole the eyeballs when the 16-year-old scalped 10 wickets in an inning in DDCA league match.
Schedule for India-Australia Test series
Vikas Dixit recorded figures of 10 for 27 for Kashmere Gate Gymkhana guiding his team to a 222-run victory over Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC).
Dixit has also represented Delhi at the National Schools event but unfortunately could not book a berth in the Delhi under-19 squad. Dixit is trained by Gautam Gambhir's coach Sanjay Bharadwaj.
As far as International cricket is concerned, there are only two instances when a bowler claimed all 10 wickets in an inning. The first one is the very well known Indian tweaker Anil Kumble who stunned the arch-rivals Pakistan in 1999 at the Ferozshah Kotla and other one was Laker's 10 for 53 for England against Australia in 1956.
