Kejriwal is also slated to meet President Pranab Mukherjee later in the day.

Earlier in the morning, Kejriwal met Union Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu and discussed various issues with him including that of unauthorised colonies in the city and full statehood. He was accompanied by party leader Manish Sisodia.

The Arvind Kejriwal-led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) made a clean sweep in the Delhi polls by winning 67 of the 70 seats. Kejriwal was unanimously elected as the leader of the legislative party on Tuesday.

Kejriwal on late Tuesday met Delhi Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung at the latter's official residence and staked claim to form the government in Delhi.

Kejriwal, who was accompanied by senior party leader Manish Sisodia, was with Jung for around 25 minutes.

After the meeting, Raj Niwas issued a press release saying the Lt Governor will now send his report with his recommendation to the President to enable government formation, a formality under the rules.

Kejriwal is also scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday to invite him for the swearing-in ceremony at Ramlila Maidan on February 14.

"We had sought time from the Prime Minister, Kejriwal will be meeting him tomorrow at 10.30 AM. He will also extend an invitation to him for the oath ceremony on February 14," party sources said.
