New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Monday dismissed the petition of one of the accused in the sensational Jawaharlal Nehru University MMS scandal case.

A single bench of Justice Hima Kohli dismissed the plea of Balbir Chand who sought the HC to dismiss the University’s decision of rusticating him and not allowing him to appear in his semester exams.

Chand has been charged for making the cameras available to co-accused Janardan Kumar and circulating the objectionable MMS in the university.

Chand and Kumar are the students of MCA and Korean Studies in JNU respectively.

Both the students were rusticated by the University administration soon after the scandal came into light.
