New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Thursday sought replies from the Central and Delhi Government over the efforts made by them for security arrangements to avert terror activities in the national capital.

Hearing a writ petition, a division bench of Chief Justice Deepak Mishra and Justice Sanjiv Khanna asked both the governments to file their replies within six weeks.

The petition filed by the Society of Indian  Law Firms (SILF)came for hearing before the bench of Justice RS Andlo on September 22, after which it was sent to the division bench as the issue was related to public interest.

In its petition, SILF has requested the court to direct both the governments to install Rapid Action Force and National Security Guard personnel in important areas and to install CCTV cameras in all the courts.

In order to facilitate effective relief after any disaster, SILF requested the court to direct the governments to update the disaster management agencies.
