New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Tuesday rejected the plea for three-month-long parole of an accused Amar Singh Gill in the 1999 Jessica Lall murder case.

Gill filed the petition in the Delhi HC for searching a rented accommodation for his family.

Court has declared that, unless there is emergency situation, they are not inclined to grant parole to Gill.

Justice ML Mehta said, it is not possible to grant parole for such a long period. The court, however, said that Gill can be granted custody parole for three to four days for the purpose.

Amardeep Singh Gill, who is serving a four-year jail term along with Manu Sharma, sentenced to life imprisonment in the case, had sought the parole for searching another house on rent in Gurgaon for his wife and two children.

Gill had moved to the court after the Delhi government rejected his plea in October last year.
