New Delhi: In a measure to deliver its best, Delhi Jal Board (DJB) has decided to award contracts to youngsters. The Board has announced to attach more importance to skilled and experienced lots while giving contracts.

According to sources, the graduates in engineering will be registered as probationary contractors for five years with security deposit of mere Rs 50,000 and they will be assigned contracts to the tune of Rs 90 lakh. They will be exempted from annual renewal process. 

Ramesh Negi, CEO of Delhi Jal Board, said, “The engineering graduates from civil, electronics and other discipline will be given the tender of Rs 90 lakh.”

The probationary contractors are required to register themselves with the Board before June 30. The engineers who are graduated with 50 percent will be qualified to fill in the tenders.   

The Delhi Jal Board has taken this move in order to give high quality construction.
