Bhopal: Here's a piece of good news for the residents of Bhopal and Indore, as they will soon have a Metro rail service to boast of soon.

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has given green signal to Madhya Pradesh government proposal to start Metro services in the state.

Dr E Shreedharan, Managing Director, DMRC , who was in Bhopal on Wednesday, assured government to submit Detail Project Report (DPR) of Indore and Bhopal within six months.

Sreedharan inspected the proposed metro line route. He informed Urban Administrative Minsiter, Babulal Gaur that on the basis of feasibility survey conducted in two cities DPR will be prepared in next six months.

The MD along with his technical team reached Bhopal here on Tuesday. In a meeting with the officials of administrative department he discussed about the project.

SD Sharma, Executive director DMRC, Shri Mukopadhya, Traffic expert, Kamal Nagar, OSD transport of administrative department were present in the meeting.
