New Delhi: The Delhi government on Monday cancelled the permit of the bus in which a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by its driver, a minister said.

"We have cancelled the permit of the bus which belonged to Rao Transport in the capital," Delhi Transport Minister Ramakant Goswami told.

The 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted by a 47-year-old driver on a private bus parked near her house here in the capital, police said on Sunday.

"We have done our bit. Now the police have to play their role in the case," Goswami said. Rakesh Kaushal, 47, was arrested on Sunday in Sultanpuri area in north Delhi after the victim told her parents about the sexual assault.
