Mohammed Yusuf alias Miyan (32), an Uttar Pradesh-based handler of Lakdawala, was arrested by crime branch from the Alipur area of North Delhi on Tuesday.
    
According to the police, Yusuf was on Wednesday presented before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, who sent him to 14 days' judicial custody.

He was given a contract to eliminate two businessmen of Mumbai and one in NCR, police claimed.

"Yusuf gave the contract to eliminate two businessmen of Mumbai and one from the national capital region. He hired Punjab-based shooters for the job. He himself was going to Punjab to meet one of the sharpshooter," said a police officer.

Yusuf, who is from Bareilly, had hired Punjab-based shooters to execute the job, they alleged.

Indian Mujahideen (IM) terrorist Ejaz Sheikh, wanted in several cases including a terror strike in Jama Masjid in the national capital, was arrested by the Special Cell of Delhi Police from Saharanpur of Western Uttar Pradesh in September last year.
