"In view of the threat inputs received from different agencies, there is a need for stringent security measures to be adopted so as to avoid any untoward incident during Parliament session. You are requested to get each and every person entering the building searched and frisked thoroughly," says a police advisory.
The advisory was issued to six buildings including Rail Bhawan, RBI, Gurudwara Rakab Ganj and All India Radio. Police said each and every person entering the buildings should be ‘searched and frisked thoroughly’.
When asked about the threat inputs, a senior police official refused to divulge the details. He merely said anti-social elements may try to do something spectacular, particularly when Parliament is in session. The Monsoon session of Parliament begins on Monday.
Police have also beefed up security in view of Independence Day celebrations.
